In Cartier-Bresson's photo we can see a woman on the street selling fish to people. We can tell that this is located in France because of the writing on the shops behind the stall. This is located in a poorer area because by looking at the way the woman is dressed and the mess that the shops in the background are in. I think the deeper meaning of this image is to show how different people earn their money in different ways. This woman has to earn her money by selling fish on the street, this is a much lower class way to earn money than other ways. Henri Cartier-Bresson used the 'decisive moment' to capture his photos, this is shown in the image because he had to take the image at the right time to capture the woman passing the fish to the man.
In my photo we can see two asian women selling food at a stall in a street. We can tell that this is located in an urban area because walking down a regular street we wouldn't normally see someone selling this type of food to this extent. My photo links to everyday activities because like Cartier-Bresson's image it shows how these woman have to earn their money. Although, we are looking at a poorer area, the colours in the image represent happiness and show us that even though they are of a poorer class they can still express their happiness in different ways rather than showing their money.
These two photograph's are similar because they both display 'the decisive moment' which Cartier-Bresson uses in the majority of his work. They both display this because these photos have to be taken at the right time to capture both women passing out the food. Also, these photos are similar because they both show poorer areas showing how different people raise money. This links to everyday activities because both photographs show two women who have to go out every day and raise their money different ways to how we expect regular people to raise their money. Their everyday activity is wondering whether they will have enough money that day or not.
