In this shoot I wanted to display the stereotypical life of women and the types of jobs they have to do to keep the house in order and care for the family. This shoot will be finished on the 1st of April.
Evaluation
I think the majority of this shoot went well but there were some images that turned out better than others.

This image is one of my best images because it shows the life stereotypical women live. I think the focus of the image is good because it focuses on her and what she is doing, the background is also blurred so we are not distracted by anything else going onion the image. The composition of the image works well too because the camera angle is looking up at her which gives a better effect to the image as it corresponds with what she is doing and brings the image together.
This image is also one of my better images because it shows the life of a stereotypical woman well. I think the focus of the image is goof because it focuses on her and what she is doing, the background is not in focus which makes sure we don't concentrate on what is happening in the background. The camera angle also works well because we are looking at her straight on so we can focus on what she is doing.

This image is one of my worst ones. Although this does show the stereotype of a women the composition, focus and picture in general is not to a good standard. I don't like the shadows that are portrayed in the image. If I had taken this image at a different I would've been able to use it as one of my best images but it doesn't work as well. To improve it I could've changed the setting so more light is allowed in the picture and made sure that no shadows were present in the image.
Progression
To progress my images I took them into photoshop to improve them.

I chose to edit these images using the camera raw filter. Also, I chose to edit these images using the black and white filter because it adds to the effect that we shouldn't follow these stereotypes and adds a depressing effect on the photos. Bruce Davidson produces his ideas in black and white so because I liked his work I produced some of my work in the way that he has. I think the original images and the edited images both work well depending on the meaning you are trying to portray. The original images show a more happier effect and the edited images have a more depressing effect. The main settings I focused on apart from black and white was the contrast and clarity of the image. By increasing the contrast and clarity of the image it makes the image appear bolder.
I think this shoot went well, however if I was going to improve it more I would've played with the settings in my camera more. The lighting that I took these different images in was very different, some places were darker than others which is why some of my images appear darker than others.
The next shoot I will be taking is the stereotypical life of a man. From this shoot I have learnt that I need to experiment with the camera settings more to get a good image, for example the aperture.
